Folk Fest Rising Stars Band Academy 
Are you ready to take your band to the next level? We have partnered with King Konz School of Music and are looking for 8 young bands/performers from the Townsville area to participate in an exclusive 8-week mentorship program with industry professionals, culminating in a live performance at the prestigious 35th Townsville Folk Festival, June 12th-14th.

Mentorship Program: Free to Enter Includes an 8 week, 1-2 hour weekly rehearsal/mentorship program at King Konz School of Music starting 18th April*. Plus a Saturday pass to the Townsville Folk Fest (includes camping +1 adult per youth entered)

This year the Rising Stars showcase will begin 11:15am Saturday 13th June in the Jam Tin and the crowd favourite will play again Sunday 14th 10am. 
In return for 1 - 2 hours rehearsal/ mentorship weekly at King Konz School of Music: 
  •  Professional coaching from experienced musicians
  •  Song writing and stagecraft development
  •  Performance and industry insights
  •  The chance to showcase your talent in front of a live audience
  •  Be immersed in the festival experience as a performer
*Actual rehearsal times will be negotiated to suit & be arranged once accepted on the program.

                  The Festival is at Foots Hill Station, 1464 Webb Rd, Reid River QLD 4816
